So I dug up this old holiday card from OJ Simpson...

I thought I might be receiving a splendid gift of sports memorabilia from him, but then I thought again and realized it might have to be confiscated from the police. I'll have to meditate on that...

Whew! Am I tired. I got to work late today (yeh, my man Chris Cole called me out on it already... take it easy, dude, no need to expose me to boss!!) I had my afternoon siesta and now I am ready to tell you all about my weekend.

So... it's been a busy weekend. I spent it whittling a special baby shower gift for Xtina, who said my shower invite musta "got lost" in the mail. Check it out below!

What is it, you ask? Well, in light of all the crazy toy recall stuff, I decided to try my hand at creating an all-natural, organic, feng shui-compliant source of amusement for the impending baby "Jordy"*. It's a rounded balsa wood block whittled by yours truly. It took me 2 days to sand away all rough edges and splinters using 800-grit sandpaper, and it's so light that even if baby chucks it at parents, no painful situation should ensue. I personally think it's a great present. Youngsters should be able to ponder the existence of humanity just by playing with abstract forms. Honestly, playing with a commercial toy really limits the imagination. This block I whittled could represent just about anything... the universe, a donkey, my foot, Mom's handbag, etc.

So after my gift was finished, I wrapped it up and went to find Christina. I stood outside Club Hyde to wait for her to leave, and caught her outside to give her the aforementioned baby gift. The papparazzi got what was destined to be a great shot of us, but the flash caught me right in the eye so it wasn't suitable for the tabloids. Oh well, mebbe next time. Check out the photo here.

No matter what evil idea seeds Chris Cole has planted in your head, I am not, and will not be going on strike. I have come out of my silence to let y'all know that. In fact, if you're interested in the true reason why I was silent, I'll tell you. I went into hibernation for a while, just like a bear. In fact, this frigid Michigan weather makes me feel grumpy, like this particular bear:
