Too much of the same thing!

I enjoy listening to Channel 955.  But when I listen for a few hours or more at a time, I hear the same songs played over and over again and I have to change the station.  There are so many great hit songs from a few years ago that could be mixed in with the new songs.  But rarely does that happen.  I'm so sick of hearing the same 10 songs being constantly repeated throughout the day.  Either 955 needs to learn how to play a bigger variety or we need another hit music station in town.  I find myself listening to Tower 98 (98.3 - Toledo, OH) when I get sick of hearing the repetitiveness of Channel 955.  At least they know how to play a variety of hits.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I love listening to the morning show on 955. They are awesome.

But I find myself in the same boat as you. Once the morning show goes off the air at 11 am--I find myself changing the radio station more often than not. It gets to repetitive with the same songs hour after hour day after day. They mix things up a big with My Pod and I always try to tune for that. But when its over I either channel surf for some good music or listen to my own CD's.

I agree with you 100%, I ended up buying a SIRIUS radio because I couldn't stand listening to the same songs over and over. I listen to MOJO IN THE MORNING, and usually change the channel after that. If there is a new song I want to hear a million times, I know where to go.

I totally agree. I listen to 95.5 for like six hours at work, and they play certain songs three times in an hour...it gets really annoying. I went up to Toronto recently and like what you say about 98.3, they played a variety of new hit songs...not just the same few ones.

Same here I have to turn it off after Mojo signs off.

We had one, and it was 93.1 DRQ and I loved Jay and Rachel in the Mornings. Mojo ITM is ok. They played a variety and I heard more new music by artest via them. Here they changed a bit after they went to DOUG FM to get us over.

ABC (Owners of Doug) did a bad thing. Nothing wrong with being #2 most times and there was not another one so you could never do worse than #2 and this area needed it.

I cannot believe DOUG is still there. They fired EVERYONE but Jay Towers and the rest is done out of state by computers for other like stations. Clear Channel (955) does this too but not here. I think this is a cheap way to make lots of money. There is no local feeling except the one local person they hire.

Sattilie is not killing radio, nore are MP3 players, and someday soon streaming music in your car off thenet (Hey my cell does it if I have a internet package) and people run to these cause the stations have poor programming.

I admit my tastes are different so I mostly got Traditional Jazz and big band with some top 40 and misc music. So I am stuck with Ed Love or Detroit Public Radio at nights, yup gotta wait till 6p-7p to listen. Ed stops at 10p DPR goes all night. And no I do not like Smooth Jazz!!!!
